work drama
mood: fed up listening to: someone else's radio in the bg So...my rant of the day. The people I work with drive me crazy. There is always drama surrounding everything that goes on in this office. I try my best to stay out of it, hide in my little cube, mind my own business. But this morning something was going on with two people I consider my only real friends in the office, so I sort of got sucked into. Not directly, mind you...they were sure to keep me out of it. They fed me some line of bs about what was going on, and that really pissed me off. I mean...whatever. I probably don't want to know, but I am just tired of all of it. /end rant So, other than that, today has been ok. We had a nice lunch for our two temp staff members that are leaving (and by leaving I mean fired 4 months before their contract was up), and I had a productive meeting about cleaning up some of the data in our database before it integrates with another one. I feel like I have had to step up and do this on my own, however, because management in our office hasn't been pressing the issue at all...even though the integration is supposed to happen by the end of August. Wow...that was ranting again, sorry! :) This weekend should be nice. Tomorrow nite we are having dinner with our parents to celebrate Dustin's bday on Sunday. I am not sure what's going on Saturday yet, except that D has a vendors fair to take part in and hopefully drum up some business. Sunday will be either lunch or dinner with Ari & Jeff for D's bday. Sunday is the actual day, too. :) I am thinking dinner so we can all watch Family Guy and American Dad together. It should be lots o' fun! :) And for some lighthearted Star Wars fun...

Weekend Recap
mood: still hungry...stupid WW frozen meal listening to: nothing First, I got this in last week...it now adorns my truck antenna: Weeekend in review: Saturday: I went shopping with Mom in Round Rock. Went to Bath & Body Works, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, World Market, etc. I got Mother's Day gifts for my mother-in-law and Aunt Kathy. I also got myself the following: For D's anniversary gift: For me: For the house: I know it looks like a lot, but all together with the gifts, I spent less than $120. I had to have the food processor now...my Pampered Chef food chopper has gone to crap. It was supposed to be dishwasher safe...not. The clear plastic is all cracked and messed up. Besides that, the blade is going dull..it wouldn't even chop mushrooms on Friday night. :P Then Saturday afternoon Dusty and I went out to Barton Creek to go to the B&B Works there because I had a coupon for a free bath spa set. I opted to go and get Mom's pressie from there since they have stuff at that flagship store that they don't have at our's up north. Then he and I went for our anniversary dinner at Siena. It was the yum as always :) Sunday was church in the morning, then a lot of laying around ;) Had lunch at Ari's after church then she came over and chilled for a while. It was nice and quiet. :) Oh! I forgot to mention that on Saturday afternoon, Dustin's dad stopped by on his way back to OK and installed my new kitchen light for me. I will have to take pics tonite and post them.

things i am happy about...
mood: content listening to: the bling bling of AIM and Yahoo Things I am happy about: - I am getting my debt paid off. By Christmas time I will not owe any more money to any credit card companies. - I have lost 16 of the 20 lbs I set out to lose. Dustin and I will be joining a new gym soon where I can lose the rest and tone up. - Dustin and I have a stronger relationship than we ever have. After a long talk last nite, I feel closer to him than I have in months. We are getting our lives on track and that makes me happier than words can express. - I am getting to go see Juli and Lee in a little over a month. That will be 2 years since she and I were last together. We must not let it go that long again! - I have awesome friends. Lately, there are a few that come to mind that have been especially supportive and wonderful. You know who you are...you rock! CALL ME! ;)

Friends Quotes
mood: silly listening to: Keep On Loving You from episode 4.12Ross: Every week, the TV Guide comes to Chandler and Joey's apartment. What name appears on the address label? Rachel: Oh! Chandler gets it! It's Chandler Bing! Monica: No! Ross: I'm afraid the TV Guide comes to "Chanandelor Bong." Monica: I knew that! Rachel! Use your head! Chandler: Actually, it's Miss Chanandelor Bong. ... Monica: All right, look. I hate this as much as you, but if it makes you feel any better, it's all your fault. Rachel: What? Monica: Chanandelor Bong? Come on! We steal that TV Guide every week! Chandler: I knew it!

weekend update
mood: meh listening to: Erasure - Take Me Back (please forgive the poor writing in this entry as I am not yet awake. last nite was the second nite in a row that i did not sleep well).Weekend update: Friday night we went to dinner with Ari and Jeff at one of the Mexican food places in Leander. It was the yum. We all had quite a bit of margarita, but Saffi didn't feel it the next day like the rest of them did. ;) Saturday I went shopping with Mom. I have been needing new clothes for a while...most of mine are too big now. We hit the Foley's Red Apple sale (where I got several tops and some cute Dockers capris...all on sale). Then it was off to JC Penney where I found this. The last stop was Dillards to pick up the Clarks sandals I have been wanting. That was the only thing I paid full price for. :) I was quite proud of myself. I got a LOT of clothes for very little money. I then came home and finally got to sit down and watch a Ewan performance I hadn't seen. He was in the first episode of a British TV series called "Kavanagh QC" about a British public defender. Ewan was great of course, but I really liked the show as well. I will probably end up adding that to my collection. :) Sunday morning D and I ended up sleeping in til 9:30. I haven't been able to sleep that late in months. We got up and went to church, then came home. He did some yard work while I bummed in the house. We watched "Ray" together. About 5:00 I finally got up the energy to vacuum and clean the floors. We then watched "Friday Night Lights". I recommend both movies. Oooo...last night I made Dustin and I some homemade alfredo with angel hair pasta. I took a recipe I got from Rachel Ray on 30 Minute Meals and tweaked it. Her's calls for half and half, butter, nutmeg, and parmesan, and I added a little sour cream and cremini mushrooms that I had sauteéd with garlic and cooking sherry. I rarely like my own cooking very much, but this was so good. BTW, if you love to cook, check out Rachel's shows on Food TV. 30 Minute Meals, $40 A Day, and Inside Dish. I have seen at least one episode of all 3 and love them. She is too adorable and an excellent chef. :)

out of the loop
mood: frustrated listening to: the hum of our computer I have been in training at work since yesterday, and I feel so out of it with my internet life. I can't talk to my girls at work, I can't check my email, I can't even check Oasis. I get to work at 7, scramble to do stuff that came in the day before, then out the door no later than 8:15 for training. Yesterday I did go back over to the office during lunch but didn't have time today. I doubt I will tomorrow either...I will probably be studying for the exam we have at the end of tomorrow to pass the class. Today was worse because traffic was ridiculous (after training running over), so I didn't get home til like 5:20 (as compared to the normal 4:35). *sighs* I really wanted to come home and rest some before Ari picks me up for choir and before Erwina comes over for Friends nite. BLAHAGE.

Hot Topic is THE EVIL :)
mood: not bad for having partied a bit too much this weekend listening to: Avril Lavigne This morning I have been quite productive and started a wish list on HotTopic.com. :) I also finally found a good website (thanks to help from Ari) where I can actually buy cute switch covers for our rocker switches. So far I have picked out the following: Living Room Our Bathroom Guest Room Hall Bath? Dining Room? Kitchen Entry?
And I have to have this...not sure where I will put it yet :) Halloween

Leander Park?
mood: tiiiiiiired listening to: nothing quite yet http://news8austin.com/content/your_news/?SecID=278&ArID=134277 WTF? Why can't people leave well enough alone? This really bothers me...we moved to Leander because it WASN'T Cedar Park. Leander is just starting to grow and become a more self-sufficient community, give us our chance to do so. We are about to get our own HEB, and more will follow. Our public library just had a bond passed so it can expand, and new families are moving in every day. This all sounds like another brainchild of our wonderful mayor. *rolls eyes* Cowman has done nothing buy screw things up since he got into office. I wish he hadn't won the election against Barnett (although there was debate as to whether or not he actually won). Cowman is one of those politicians that you just know is in it only for himself...not the people of Leander. If he sees any political gain from this whatsoever, he'll do it...without giving us a second thought.
